Divorces are high all over the planet so it is great when a couple can spend a decade together yet alone 5 decades. That is the reason why the 50th marriage anniversary is such an amazing event. It glaringly deserves a special celebration. Whether you choose to celebrate your special day with friends and family or as a couple, these are some tips to help with your preparation.
Spending Your Anniversary as a Couple
You have made it this far together so why not share your 50th anniversary with a little special time for just the two of you. A wonderful tip is to take a couples-only holiday somewhere fabulous. Think about that Caribbean cruise you have always wanted or imagine toasting your commitment over a tumbler of French wine in Paris.
Naturally, if you need something a little closer to home consider having your fiftieth anniversary celebration at a really nice cafe. You may have a candle lit dinner and a champagne toast at the end. Over pudding, you can exchange gifts too. Remember it's called your golden 50th marriage anniversary for a reason when you're choosing those gifts.
Having a Golden Anniversary Celebration
If you're going to be celebrating with your friends and family, somebody else should be in control of the party preparation. Generally, your children or most likely your brothers should be answerable for putting together the marriage anniversary party. For your celebration, the golden marriage anniversary invites or baby shower invitations should match the theme of the event. Be certain to have gold glitter placed on the invitations unless you'll find some especially for your fiftieth anniversary gold.
For all the guests, consider serving a gold-colored wine,eg a Chardonnay, to continue the theme. If you might serve the wine in glasses with gold edging, that would be much better. While the wine will be superb for toasting, you might want to continue the theme to do pudding. Today, many bake shops carry gold flake which is made from real gold but can be eaten safely. You can create small treats and roll them in the gold flake for a corrupt treat that looks perfect for the event.
Most fiftieth marriage anniversary occasions are a little more intimate and formal but they don't have to be. If you would prefer having a large celebration with live music, dancing, and plenty of fun, then make sure you share that information with the person throwing the event.
On the other hand, if you do desire something a little more subdued, have the entire family meet at a nice restaurant to enjoy a meal together and to talk about memories of your marriage. Friends should additionally be invited, particularly if they have been a part of your life for a very long time. Together all of you can share your 50th marriage anniversary.
